Returning home from an adventure abroad typically comes with a mixed bag of emotions. You may be sad to leave your adventure behind. You may be so ready to get home that you kiss the tarmac the moment the plane opens it’s doors. You may be caught in the middle.
After a great adventure abroad whether in Europe, Africa, Asia, etc. the hardest thing is sharing your experiences. It will be all you want to talk about. Whether you enjoyed the adventure or not, you will want to excitedly tell the tale of you time away. The issue with this is people really just want to hear a quick snapshot. Past that snapshot people tend to tune you out or change the topic. This may sound silly but this why it is so important to share pictures with friends and family on social media. Friends and family will consume your posts curiously.

In my experience, the photos I posted on Instagram and Facebook became the opportunity I needed to tell the stories of my adventures. I so desperately needed to share my stories when I got back . While people did not need to hear about all of my experiences, they had questions about specific posts. The saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” is an accurate statement but a picture can also conjure a thousand questions. While the comment sections of my posts were active the amount of questions I got once I got home gave me the chance to share my adventure.
