Gabi went to the library to work on her visual essay assignment. She needed to look at the requirements for the assignment, but she was having issues with accessing the COM-121-03 class Moodle page. To resolve this issue, she went downstairs to I.T. They had her update and rescan the computer. Once the computer was updated, she was granted access to the COM-121-03 class Moodle page.
I helped plan the shots, and then I took all of the photos for this assignment. Gabi was actually having technical difficulties accessing the class Moodle page. We ran with it and I visually documented the process of fixing the situation. This assignment made me think of ways to incorporate the photo composition techniques to tell the story of granting Gabi access to the class Moodle page. Going forward I know that there are many obstacles when taking a photo such lighting, unwanted people in the shot and that computer screens are challenging to shoot clearly. In the future, I will be more equipt to remedy these issues by restaging to get better lighting, asking people to move, and adjusting the brightness of computer screens.
